Sri Lankas cricket authority, Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed former Josephian coach Harsha De Silva to take the reins of the national Womens squad.
The Womens team is currently preparing for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in Caribbean in April 2010.
Harsha is an Australian Cricket accredited level 111 coach and a prestigious member of cricket coaches forum in Australia. He also possesses an A class license as a school cricket coach.
Sri Lankan Women are in a tough group with India, New Zealand, and Pakistan. Sri Lanka has won a tri‐nation series in February 2009 and reached an Asia Cup final in May 2008.
